Four Seasons! Winter, Summer, Spring or Fall, Colville truly is the land of all seasons. Distinct weather patterns bring sweet Spring Showers, Hot Summer Days, A Winter Wonderland and Plentiful Crops for Fall. Known as the Snow Belt of the Great Northwest and America's Pristine Recreational Area there is nothing the area does not offer.
One of the best reasons to live in the Columbia River Basin is the fact that our area is relatively secure from natural disasters. The Coulee Dam controls the flow of waters and avoids floods. Historically there are no Tornados or Hurricanes able to form. Living relatively away from the volcanoes in the Circle of Fire but close enough to enjoy quick trips to geothermally active pockets the rare earthquake has the highest chance for threat but is well planned for through zoning codes. Truly, this area has a stable, four seasons and like rock, is solid.
